The Lafayette Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the Third Annual Lafayette Police Motorcycle Competition (LPMC) in conjunction with the Lamorinda Safety fair. The Competition is scheduled to take place on Saturday August 5th from 8 am-5 pm with the Safety Fair taking place from 9 am-1 pm. Lafayette Auto Body will also be hosting a classic car show with over 50 classic cars on site.
Last year’s event brought together over 50 motorcycle police officers from throughout the Western United States. This type of competition is held several times a year at other venues and draws dozens of competitors and hundreds of spectators. This will be the Third event like this to be held in Contra Costa County. The competition is focused upon a series of challenging riding courses and proves to be a very family-friendly and exciting spectator event. Members of the public are invited to watch the competition free of charge.
We are currently seeking sponsors for this event, which consists of the competition (awards), a dinner for the participants, daily lunches for the competitors and a t-shirt to memorialize their attendance at the event. Sponsors will be recognized during both events for their support. We are seeking assistance in drink/snack sponsorship, vendor booths, raffle prizes, goodies for the competitor goody bags or we can customize a package specific to your business. Below are the details concerning this year’s sponsorship levels:
- $2,000-Gold: Company Logo on Banner and event T-shirt, 3 shirts, 3 dinner tickets, vendor space at event.
- $1,000-Silver: Company Name on Banner and event T-Shirt, 2 shirts, 2 dinner tickets, vendor space at event
- $500-Bronze: Company Name on Banner, 1 T-shirt, 2 dinner tickets, vendor space at event.
- $100-Basic sponsor: Vendor space at event and 1 T-shirt.
